Eastern Mining's Open Day in Vares

As part of our plan to invest in the young people of Vares and to launch the new course in Mining Technology we have created for the norbat2 Secondary Mixed School, we held an Open Day at our offices in Tisovci.

Over 40 parents and students attended the Open Day, where they were able to visit the facilities, attend presentations on the activities of the company, meet the CEO and General Manager and key staff from each department.

Eastern Mining is offering scholarships to the 10 top-ranked students (100 KM per month for 10 months of the year), and after graduating from school, they will be offered a 12-month traineeship. For the intern who shows the best results, they will be sponsored through University.

The course is open to both male and female students and will be part of the regular curriculum of the Nordbat-2 Secondary Mixed School.  The course will cover processing, geology, mining, production, drilling, plant and equipment, communications, teamwork and reporting.

Eastern Mining considers investing in the future of education in this area to be one of the priorities, and an important part of this is to give young people a chance to stay in the region and create a life for themselves.
